For consultants

Billable hours in, invoices out

Keep each client's projects, rates and conversations together. Log hours as you work, have them signed off, and draft the month's invoice from exactly the hours that were approved, at the rate you agreed.

How it works

One engagement, from the scope to the payment

  1. 1Plan

    Market sizing workshop12.5 h

The engagement's workstreams go on the client's board, each with the hours you scoped.

  2. 2Collaborate

    PK
    Pat Kim Guest

Could we add a second workshop for the regional leads?

The client's people join a shared thread by email, and a change of scope is agreed in writing, beside the work.

  3. 3Track

    PRNorthwind / Build31.0 h

Each consultant logs billable hours against the workstream, a day at a time or the whole week at once.

  4. 4Approve

    PRPriya RamanApprove

The engagement lead approves each filing, and the approved hours are locked.

  5. 5Bill

    NOR-2026-0013Draft$13,440

The invoice is drafted from the approved, billable hours at the client's rate, emailed, and marked paid as the payments arrive.

Why Clock Clerk

Run the practice, not the paperwork

Rates that resolve themselves

Set a standard rate, a client's rate, a project's, or one person's on one project. The most specific one that covers the day prices it.

An invoice that stays as sent

An issued invoice is a frozen document, and the hours on it stay locked unless it is voided.

Know what each client costs

Switch a report between what you bill and what the work costs you, by client, project or person.

Pricing

You pay for the people who log time, not the people who manage them

Most time trackers charge a seat for everyone who signs in, including the managers who approve and the administrators who run it, and the approvals and reports those managers need often sit on a higher plan that raises the price of every seat. Clock Clerk charges only for the people who log hours that month. Everyone who reviews, approves, administers or reads the reports is free, on every plan.

Questions

Asked before they switch

Can our clients join the conversation?

Yes, on any paid plan. Share a thread on a project and invite your client's people by email. They sign in from the link and see only the threads they were invited into, never your cards, hours or other threads, and they are not charged.

Do managers and administrators cost more?

They cost nothing. Only the people who log hours in a month are billed, and at one price whatever their role. A manager who approves, an administrator who runs the organization and a finance lead who only reads the reports are free, however many you have.

What happens when the trial ends?

Nothing is deleted. Every screen, report and export goes on working; the organization simply stops accepting new hours until a plan is chosen.
